Dear Colleagues,
Please follow the links below to two more in the
series, "Fair Trade or Free Trade? Understanding CAFTA," compiled by the
Washington Office on Latin America. The first, "Labor Rights Provisions in CAFTA
are Inadequate," was prepared by the AFL-CIO, and
highlights the weakness of Central America's labor laws and lack of enforcement
mechanisms for labor law reform in CAFTA. "The Gender Impact of CAFTA" was
prepared by the Center of Concern, and analyzes the CAFTA text from a gender
perspective.
