*FAIR TRADE FRIENDS
Mike Prokosch will be in Maine during the month of
August and he offered to do a workshop on CAFTA which would help us become
more familiar and better trained about the subject. Bjorn contacted non
active PICA folks interested in Fair Trade and about 15 expressed their
interested in participating in the event.
I therefore wanted to ask Fair Trade Commitee
members to help organize this event. Would we be intererested in being the
organizers? Our work would be to set the date, the time, and plan things
such as food for the event.
The available dates are Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday (August 19,20,21). So far 9 people said they could be available
on any date, 3 prefered Friday or Saturday, 1 strongly prefered Friday and one
said Saturday.
We can organize this event at our August Fair Trade
meeting scheduled for August 4th. Please let me know what you
think.
