Problem in uploading the files to the ftp server.

Hello,   .I have a problem in uploading the files to the ftp server. The 
application uses a custom user and i had set the write permissions to the home 
directory. But still when i upload the files to the ftp server, i get a 
permission denied to the error. This is the following error
257 "/" is current directory.Command:   TYPE IResponse: 200 Command TYPE

(127,0,0,1,17,97)Command:     STOR test.docResponse:  550 /test.doc: Permission 
denied.
