Thanks for the reply Mike,
worked it out - I had tried various text states - static, anti-aliased etc...
It seems flash transitions do not apply to text thats not aliased -

My mistake as to why all layers were showing / overlapping - the 'ol "._visible" trick!

cheers

Jason

Jason,

In regards to you post about transition screens and transparent text - I can't be of much help as I try to steer clear of screens at the moment.

What do you mean by text components show through as transparent - aren't you adding a "fade" transition? Or does this happen before the fade?

If it is just the actual text that is transparent, Why not give your questions a try.... try it with static text, try it with anit-aliased text - see if it *does* in fact make a difference.

Sorry I can't be of more help, can you provide a little more explanation of the problem or post a link to show it...?

Maybe then I can help a little more.

Subject: [fugli] dynamic text in screens

hello,
I'm creating a screen presentation utilising components from Cold Fusion and outputting dynamic text.
When adding the screen transition behaviour, all text components show through as transparent.
Is it due to dynamic text fields? Does anti-alias make a difference?

Properties on all screens...
overlayChildren = false
playHidden = true
simple fade transition
