Ah, Mike, you legend.  That's -exactly- what I needed.. I thought it required the square brackets, but I can never remember the correct layout for them, so I just kept getting errors.   Thanks for your help (and you too Hesh).. () {  getURL("http://www.bssc.edu.au/email.aspx", "", "POST"); }   And the URL opening is http://www.bssc.edu.au/email.aspx?variable=test   I thought that was only a GET thing..
