You have to register the OCX (activex control). These are the instructions for Authorware on the MM site, just substitute in the Flash Player path.

As an alternative you could install the non Active X control in other browsers e.g Flash 7 in Mozilla, 6 in Firefox and 5 in Opera. http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/ tells you how to do this with Mozilla and Firefox.

Hi all,

I'm trying to get a machine set up with Flash Player 5 to try and
replicate a clients problem... how do I do it?

I've gone to this page:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/oldplayers.htm

And downloaded the player, and it give me a file called:
swflash5r42.cab

When I open this with Winzip I find files called:
SwFlash.ocx
swflash.inf

But no instructions on where or how I should put them.... any ideas?

thanks
