On object variables you can use a "watch";
Object.watch("variableName", callback);
Remoting is slightly different with handlers

Subject: [fugli] listeners - stupid question
hi all
i know the answer to this already and i know it's kinda a stupid question
but...
can you place a listener on a variable or AS object?
failing that, how do you manage a process that relies on the return of
many async processes?
i need to know when all remoting calls are returned and rendered. i
hate setInterval.
thanks
G
