I still don’t understand why they used a pop-up window for attachments

If they’ve taken the time to build it in flash why add a corny popup browser window and request the user to turn off they’re popup blocker?

Mick, I'm a big fan of gmail too, but if data speed isn't an issue, you have to say goowy is very nice to use.  No page refreshes on every button click etc.  I know, I know... I've succumbed to the human condition - more fast and more flashy!

Although cool, the site is pathetic on dial-up... I've waiting
30seconds and now loaded gmail and composed this email an all I have
on my screen so far is a square, no indication of loading or
anything... Oooohhh there it goes, and I was just about to close the
window ;)
