Hi,
Can anyone suggest any solution, or can you act as a paid consultant
for Monash University to solve this problem?
Let me know and I will pass your contact details on.

Subject: Problem with Macromedia Flash
Hi David,
I'm having two problems with an application I've written in Flash MX
2004 and was wondering if anyone knew why they might be occurring
and perhaps any workarounds / solutions?
Firstly some background on the application itself. It is a Computer
Based Training (CBT) application. The file imports most of it's
objects from an external objects file. I did this so I could update
the functionality of the application, without having to update every
single CBT we'd created (currently there are 31 CBTs, and we are
planning to add more). The Application is loaded through an external
preloader.swf file. In this application, the user can use a button
to track forward and backward through the CBT.
Now on to the first problem. On a few systems, when the user clicks
the back button, the playhead jumps to frame 1, rather than to the
previous frame label.
I have the problem on one of my systems here that I have compared to
my development system. The two computers both run Windows XP, both
run Flash Player Version 7,0,19,0 and both run Internet Explorer
version 6.0.28000.116.xpsp2.050301-1526. However on one, the back
button works perfectly, and on the other it goes crazy. I tried
re-installing the Flash player, but it had no effect.
I believe it's some kind of limitation of the Flash Player when
working with large applications. When I just create a smaller
application that simply goes back and forward (in a similar fashion
to the actual application) it works fine.
If anyone has any idea what kind of problem this is or how to find
the solution it would be greatly appreciated. Alternatively, if
anyone could provide support for this I may be able to get some
funds from my manager.
Cheers,
