It's still in beta I believe and I've seen a lot of contradictory opinions about how good it is.  But it may be what you nedd.

You wont be able to use Flash Remoting as such.  Flash Remoting is CF only.  I believe though there are some other frameworks you
can use.  Think its called AMF.

I did a google for "php flash remoting" and got heaps of links and resources
