I would expect the wine subsystem to be infectable (provided that the malware in question is wine-compatible - not all win32 software runs on wine, after all), but it should not be able to affect anything outside of wine other than by going out and corrupting files or deleting them outright. (Even then, it would be limited to files that are writable by the user wine is running as.) -- The freedoms that we enjoy presently are the most important victories of the White Hats over the past several millennia, and it is vitally important that we don't give them up now, only because we are frightened. - Eolake Stobblehouse (http://stobblehouse.com/text/battle.html) _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
