It is "core", in a sense, but not really. It is not in the actual kernel. I don't really believe in protest purchasing, though, except for faulty products. I might care if Microsoft were utilizing the enslaved refugees from Sudan to make their software, but they aren't. But, like I said, there are many reasons to use Mozilla instead. The latest build supposedly is even better, I have not tried it yet. Security wise, there is a compelling reason in the fact that Microsoft takes a very, very long time to fix security issues -- far more then what could be reasonably given to them regardless of the size or spread of their software. Then, there are issues like the adodb stream issue which all of the latest attacks use, an issue Microsoft oddly refuses to address at all for nearly a year. The IE open bugs issue remains a sore contention, one which I have not had serious issue with until March, when this credit card stealing wave started. > > Thanks, > > > Ron DuFresne > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > "Cutting the space budget really restores my faith in humanity.
