you don't want to wear a tin foil hat, as your body will absorb the mind controlling waves. What you want is a brass screen encompassing your house, and a mobile brass screen suit that will cover your entire body to enable you to go outside every now and again. Hehehe a Faraday suit! :-)
Of course, don't think about listening tothe radio in your house, or using a cell phone, or off the air TV.... nothing will get into you house.
