Hello Tim:

I have read that Bay of Fundy is derived from the Portuguese 'Baia Fundo',
meaning 'deep bay'. I have also read that it is derived from the French
'Baie fendue', meaning 'split bay'.

Cheers, Claudette

Subject: (Fundy Forum) What's a Fundy?

Hello FundyForum,

I had an email from my father and he asked me what "Fundy", as in Bay of
Fundy, refers to. Any ideas?

Cheers,
Tim Fedak
