Another important meeting to discuss the future of the Walton Wharf and Breakwater will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Walton Fire Hall. The meeting is being hosted by the Municipality of East Hants and the Hants Regional Development Authority for the purpose of exploring community interest and involvement in the future for these facilities. Guest speaker will be Vangie Swindell, Chair of the Harbourville Wharf Restoration Committee. Directions: The Walton Fire Hall is located at 4281 Walton Woods Road, on the east side of the Walton River. Coming from Noel on Highway 215, when you reach the community of Walton, do NOT cross the Walton River bridge, but continue straight (this is the Walton Woods Road). The Fire Hall is on the right. Coming from the Windsor area on Highway 215, when you reach the community of Walton, cross the Walton River bridge and bear right (this is the Walton Woods Road). The Fire Hall is on the right.
