Heh. Nope ... too cold to go paddling around upstate Noo Yawk this time of year. (grin)
Then Americans go "north of the border" and create an international incident by complaining that CANADIAN beer sucks. Granted, Labatt's is an acquired taste (I don't DRINK American beer, I can water GOOD beer myself and save money thank ya) but it's kinda comical that "Foster's" is made by FBG in Toronto for "deer brinking" here. I *love* it! And yeah, I know they don't drink it in Oz, but I fell in love with the stuff when it was still being boated in from down under nearly 30 years ago when I couldn't afford Holstens, Warburg and "real" beer. And no offense to my friends in the Netherlands, but geez ... Heineken's always gave me a headache as though it were worted from Turpentine, and never much cared for Carlsberg either for similar reasons. I *like* Kroenenbourg, although I LOVE Pilsen Urquell, Holsten, Kostritzer Black Lager, Tucher Helles Hefeweizen, Weltenburger Dunkel, Helles and Asam Bock, Franziskaner Hefe, Spaten Lager, Pils and Octoberfest and Bitburger Pils. Sorry, "Beck's" ... see "Heinekens" ... And YES, I've had *real* Lowenbrau and Budweisers, thus my absolute disdain for watered beer as canned here. "Bearwhiz" has more flavour. :) Alas, with the American economy in the toilet, all we can afford to keep me at the keyboard these days is Canadian Fosters' and I find that aspect funny. Carlton breweries in Oz gets paid anyway and doesn't have to waste oil can tankers on beer. Heh.
