I live in Las Vegas, NV.  Here at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas (UNLV) 
they are currently considering arming the faculty, probably to defend 
themselves against gun-toting, illiterate masters students. (Actually, it 
became a serious consideration after Virginia Tech had their ... um... tragic 
incident) 

Of course, the masters student would no longer need his own gun when he can 
'borrow' the teacher's.

I dont agree with their implementation, but I do agree with the idea:
Guns and Schools don't mix (especially with some of the drunken morons around
