As a climate skeptic, these sorts of e-mails really pain me. WND is a right-wing fringe site, anything from that site hurts the skeptics argument, not helps it. There is no "signal" at that site.
> http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=118432 The leaked e-mails prove there is no conspiracy or hoax. The prove that these scientists have lax scientific standards/ethics, not that they are intentionally manipulating data. The "trick to hide the decline", for example, was a very well-known/public technique to deal with the tree-ring divergence problem. It's crappy science, skeptics have criticized it for years, but its not a conspiracy or hoax. > http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=118346 They clearly chose the start/stop dates of their graph to produce an artificial cooling trend. It's exactly the same technique, except in reverse, that Gore used in his movie. _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
