As a climate skeptic, these sorts of e-mails really pain me. WND is a 
right-wing fringe site, anything from that site hurts the skeptics argument, 
not helps it. There is no "signal" at that site.

The leaked e-mails prove there is no conspiracy or hoax. The prove that these 
scientists have lax scientific standards/ethics, not that they are 
intentionally manipulating data. The "trick to hide the decline", for example, 
was a very well-known/public technique to deal with the tree-ring divergence 
problem. It's crappy science, skeptics have criticized it for years, but its 
not a conspiracy or hoax.

They clearly chose the start/stop dates of their graph to produce an artificial 
cooling trend. It's exactly the same technique, except in reverse, that Gore 
used in his movie.
