In addition, the article says: "The conviction of Peter Chapman for the murder of 17-year-old Ashleigh Hall led to renewed calls for a "panic button". The convicted sex offender lured the teenager to her death using Facebook." So she went to meet the guy and ended up dead. Sad, but let's think for a moment - if it's somebody you're planning to meet, are you going to push that panic button? No, you're going to push it if it's somebody creepy that you *don't* want to meet anyhow. So what problem is the panic button actually solving?
