I know you wanted Paul’s opinion, but this particular question gets me worked up so here I am. Paul’s right, although a DOS is more like the rally you mention than looting. You are denying the victim the opportunity to do business, prohibiting them from making money to cover their costs such as employees and bandwidth, and probably forcing them to incur further costs because of the attack. When protesters shut down business downtown they are doing the same exact thing and if the police let them go then that’s the problem. Maybe if they spent a few months in jail they wouldn’t be so cavalier about screwing with other people’s livelihoods. LJS
