Alaska Airlines lost their flight planning computer (notice the singular) due 
to a 
transformer problem.

This would normally just be yet one more example of poor planning, were it not 
for the fact that ALASKA KEPT ME STRANDED IN O'HARE ALL DAY, AND 
O'HARE IS NOT THE PLACE YOU WANT TO BE STRANDED!!!

(One of the last major airports in North America with no free wifi, and no 
tables 
to sit at, either.)

(And those bloody posters about how great Chicago is, and how glad they are to 
have you here, don't help, either.)

(Travel tip: in order to make friends in airports during minor disasters, 
always 
carry an extension cord with multiple outlets.)

During disasters like this, when they are not going to have any planes taking 
off, 
and have little information themselves, it might help to have more than a 
couple 
of people at the desk.  Just saying ...
