All,
Sorry about the delay in fixes,
some computer issues arose, but they're gone now. The next version will be
excellent. I know some folks are having great success, and some folks are
running into nothing but frustrations. Thanks again for the
patience.
IMPORTANT VIRUS NOTICE: DO NOT OPEN AN ATTACHMENT
THAT SAYS "I SEND THIS IN ORDER TO HAVE YOUR ADVICE" THIS ATTACHMENT IS A
VIRUS!
I have only read about this
virus, my computers are not infected. All Furthur program files are
clean. I just wanted to let everyone know, because I've been seeing
this harmful e-mail a lot lately. I think its called Sir32 or something
like that.
I had no idea that people were
still losing shares. I'll get that fixed in the next version, but as
others have suggested, please backup your Furthur/resources/sharing.cfg file to
avoid future loss.
Thanks again to all, new version
coming very soon.

P.S. I would love it if someone could
volunteer to complete the task described below:
The new version of Furthur will
automatically generate file set names, which will solve a number of
problems. (mainly having to start a download from scratch if downloading
from someone who named the show differently). The sets will be named
as:
gd1979-03-02.shnf or
ph1997-08-17.mp3f etc. sticking with the etree
conventions.
Also, band names and formats
will be selected from combo boxes, to insure that they match across the
network.
We need a list of all known band
names and their etree abbreviations put in a specific XML format file. Is
anyone interested in doing this? Thanks in advance.
