i'm in agreement with WallyBear on this one. especially for this reason:
i'm very picky about what i want to download. i want good sources, etc.
so before i ever download something, i'm going to want to view more
details on it. so i want the double click to be view more details.
but what i'd really want is more options that the user can specify:
- i want to be able to choose to have a double click pop up details, while
you can choose to have it download.
- i want to be able to display the venue, city, and source in the search
window, and hide the setlist in the "more detail" pop up. but i want
others to display what *they* want displayed in the search window.
- i want to select what directory files get downloaded when i first double
click on a fileset, but i want people to be able to let furthur
automatically create for them.
etc.
some requests for the future:
i'd also like inactive shares to be greyed out, so that we know they are
greyed out.
when you make a show active again, does furthur check if the files are the
same files that it first was using? i don't think it does. i
disactivated a show, then moved some files out of the directory. then i
activated the show again, and it didn't complain that some files were
missing. i also opened the properties window for the show, and when i
closed it, it didn't check the files to make sure they were the ones it
thought they were. i think furthur should be checking the shared shows
for "correctnes" more often (meaning, that it thinks its sharing what it
really is sharing). i feel like its too easy to move the files, or
corrupt them too easily out from underneat furthur. and if furthur
doesn't notice, then corrupt filesets will be shared.
ok, back to work now. sorry for chatting so much.
