I guess I'll start with the questions.

When the original person who shared a show goes offline, is the show
considered off-line? (ie Mike Wren and the Oysterhead test yesterday, which
is not showing up in searches 24 hours later) It would seem so... surely
everybody that d/ls the entire show wouldn't "unshare" it right away.

I know that with peer2peer apps like edonkey even, if the smallest chunk of
a file was available anywhere in the network then you could at least d/l
that chunk.

Which brings me to Q #2: Are these tmp files that top off at 960K sharable
as chunks, like in the edonkey app? It would seem to me that this would
take a large amount of the BW load off the original seeder and those w/
uncapped connections.

This may be going on and I just know it so sorry if this is all babble....

one last question, Do I have to be capable of being pinged to operate
properly w/ furthur?

Lastly my main gripe at this point in testing is that when I do decide to go
off line I shouldn't be hammered for days. I quicky hit 500 pings in just a
few hours in zone alarm.
Really seems to slow other apps down on my box.

Thanks all , hope this helps to move furthur...furthur!

John
