No problems here, still running 1.3.4 which was pretty reliable here
considering the issues everyone said it has. Running Win 2K with a 400
Celery stick and 256 M of RAM. However I am current on all the MS service
packs and updates and have a 900 Meg partition I dedicated to the page file
so my virtual mem is over a gig. Have left further running for a couple of
days during which time I've been surfing the net, running ICQ and Outlook
constantly and occasionally playing StarCraft or otherwise wasting time and
resources. Haven't had any memory problems or excessive CPU hits. Had a
couple freaky things happen yesterday but as I was playing games I'm
assuming they were related to DirectX issues that further may or may not
have triggered. What I've noticed is the performance hit comes when you
have a partial queued and have it scheduled to retry periodically. When
futhur is trying to connect things start to really drag around here.

As soon as there are no longer any active connections to the files in my
share list I'll shut down and put 1.3.5 in. Sp far as I've been monitoring
the system the CPU seems to waver around 5 to 12 % with part of the spikes
being mouse motion and changing screens. Even with all the other crap I
have running in the background I've still had free physical memory and the
upstream rate varies between 5.1 to 28 something depending on who is
connected and if both slots are taken.

But then I don't use the chat feature, usually clear partials after they've
been there for a day, and have my connections capped at 2. As for which
Java I have I believe it's whatever was in the full further install for
1.3.1. Haven't bothered with it since it seems to be working properly.

Later,
        Rob

Hey has anyone been having problem with the java file. I am running Win2k
on an AMD 1.2ghz Athlon with 384MB of Ram. If I let further run all day
while I am at work or I do any other web related activities javaw.exe pegs
my processor at 100 percent.

I just downloaded the new version... I will let you know more as soon as I
do.

Jamie S.

PS. So far the software seems pretty cool and I love the idea behind it.
And the only other improvement that I had was already addressed in the new
upgrade. (The shared files being saved from session to session) Keep up
the great work.
