I have a silly idea…how about sharing the update on Furthur?   -----Original Message----- From: Jamie Addessi [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, November 13, 2001 3:41 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Furthur] 1.3.6 web site   All,     We're having trouble getting the patch up on cyberial.  I don't think it's up yet.  The pcpnetworks server is very limited in the number of people that can download at a time, the username/password thing is just a side effect of poor web hosting.  As you know, we're in the process of consolidating everything on one website, FurthurNet.com, which will be much more stable.  In the meantime, you can try searching in Furthur for Band Name=Furthur  or  Format=exe if you're trying to get 1.3.6.     I'm currently finishing up functionality that will allow a download to be received from multiple places at once.  This way, if a multiple people on the network have a show, they'll all send you parts of it at the same time.  The PCP protocol allows a show hosted in a small number of places to reach a large number of people at once.  This way, we get a new seed to as many people as possible initially, and once enough people have it, others can get it even faster.  This should drastically increase download speeds, so expect this functionality soon.      - Jamie
