Well now guys, so far, so good. I just D/L 69.3 mb BMW show in a cool,
crisp 37 minutes, with an average of about 290 Kb/sec. It was smooth as
silk. The ram usage, with Furthur running alone never left me with less
than 63 mb of free RAM out of 192 mb total on a PII400 running Win98se.
When Synthesoft's kinemorphic screen saver kicked in, the free RAM only
dropped to 53 mb, and jumped back up to 63 mb right after cessation of the
screen saver. This is a huge improvement. Thanks. The look, feel and
functionality all seem to be improved. The program responds quicker and
more smoothly.

The only questionable event is that when done d/l'ing BMW1979-04-10, Furthur
never made it appear in the shared section. I waited a while and closed it
down and restarted Furthur, but it has not shown up in the shared section.

Additionally, after being up for an hour, my two other shares, BAT1999-4-15
and JG1987-10-17 have not had a hit. Current upstream 0 Kb/sec. I know
that this is dependent on whether anyone is trying to get the show or not,
but it is unusual for these two shows to go this long without them trying to
be grabbed. I will keep tabs on this throughout the day and see what
happens.

It is now an hour later, and I do have one hit on the Big Ass Truck show,
but they are only receiving it a 33 Kb/sec. I could be giving as high as
128 Kb/sec. Still no Marley in the shares. Still no connection to the
chat. This is not new, as I have never, ever seen another user on chat,
even when I can connect. Good news is that the RAM usage is holding steady
with around 59-60 mb free out of 192, even with Outlook Express, Norton Anti
virus 2001, Free mem pro, a pop-up killer program, and the screen saver
running in the background.

Now a feature request. I d/l everything to a temp file, and then move to a
more permanent location when things check out ok. This makes running BPR a
whole lot easier. Why can't we have a button or command that allows a path
update for the files you still want to share but no longer want taking up
space in your temp d/l folder. This would allow you to move files freely
around your computer, or even put them on disc and just update the path to
where you moved the directory, without having to reshare the file sets and
retype all of the info. Throughout the beta, this has been the only issue I
have not seen addressed, and it is a big one for me, as I am always juggling
hard drive space.

Guys, thanks for a wonderful program, and keep up the hellacious good work.

Nothing but Peace and Unity,
Lapdog
