BC -- I've never known it to push even close to that. Around 100 kB/s is the best I've seen for the couple of months that I was running an ftp server on that machine. I did see furthur say that it was pushing 130 kB/s, but it never got near 300 kB/s ... unless you count Infinity.
This is interesting though, I got "Infinity" again on my other pc. completely separate system. At that time, it was showing like 5 current dl/s on the file set. So maybe this is PCP in action. PCP has been known to produce strange, super-human behavior! ;) mb >From: "br0thercr0w" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: Re: [Furthur] Infinity KB/s?!(oops ... i spoke too soon) >Date: Sat, 6 Oct 2001 10:57:49 -0400 > >as for the "Allman Brothers/missing shoe" ... you got me : ) >i just had to look .... > >with reguard to the kb or kB thing . i have got my version of furthur set >to >show d/l's in kB (bytes not bits). could this be some strange new bug ? i >am >very sure that it was showing ~280-350kB/sec. on my end (and it was running >through the tracks fast enough to look like it really was going that fast >as >well . but if you say that you couldn't push that fast , then i'm sure you >know your speed better than i do . >could it be that the "pulling a show from multiple people at once" thing be >working now ? it's the only logical reason other than it being a bug , but >as i said , i was finishing track's in the 3-5 min range ....? > >thank you very much for putting the bela up via FTP for me . i just >couldn't >bring myself to re-do the entire show again . it's almost 11am EST now , >and >guessing from the file size and the speed i should be done by the time i >leave for work at noon . if i am , i'll e-mail you to say that i'm done & >that they passed . > >thanks again ... for everything ;8^J > >...delighted to be one of the [EMAIL PROTECTED] members helping others ... >love2all >brothercrow >music trading list @ : http://db.etree.org/br0thercr0w > > >--- >Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. >Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). >Version: 6.0.282 / Virus Database: 150 - Release Date: 9/25/2001 > _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------ [ [EMAIL PROTECTED] ] ------------ Questions, Comments: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://cyberial.com/furthur --------------------------------------------------
