FYI...

I know you guys are all charged up for the new version of Furthur with MD5
built-in, however we are currently rethinking some basic stuff in the way
the software works. These changes will break backward compatibility for old
filesets and partials. We're trying to do everything that will break
backward compatibility at once, in one version upgrade. It's like taking
off a band aid... do it quickly.

So, the next version of Furthur, 1.5.0, will be a required download. It
will create a new, much more efficient, Furthur Network. It will also be
the first version of Furthur to require JRE 1.3.0 or above (this will be
built-into the full install of 1.5.0). There's a ton of other details that
Jamie will go over in the release email, and that will be posted on
FurthurNet.com in the downloads section when 1.5.0 is released. It will be
at least Monday afternoon before 1.5.0 is ready, but no promises.

So, in short, don't sweat the details. 1.5.0 is going to kick some serious
ass. Finish up any partials you're currently working on over the weekend,
and don't knock yourself out sharing new stuff since you'll just have to
re-share it anyway.

Get ready for a new, much more robust Furthur!

Wren
