There is a custom tag called CFX_DOMAINUSER that I have used before, but I
can't remember what info it returns. It may just return the users full name
based on given login/domain. Check it out though, it should be in the
Allaire tag gallery.

I am currently doing a fusebox intranet application.
I am using an NT domain and advanced security.
I can use the cfauthenticate tag to see that the user
is indeed part of the domain. But I also need to see
which group(s) they are in. Is there some custom
tag or some part of advanced security that will simply
return the groups a user is associated with? I would
prefer to handle my access to content using app_secure
and passing a list of groups that I want to have access
to a particular resource. I would prefer not to have to
use the rules and policies section of advanced
security.
There must be a way to return the groups, though,
because cf administrator lists them when you create a
policy and add users to it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
