Yes, but it won't run on all browsers & all platforms... it (like

I am looking for a solution for clients who want to have lay persons

Java appears to be a solution but Netscape has its own implementation
Flash appears to potentially offer a cross-browser/cross-platform
method of handling WYSIWYG text... I am looking for either:
a WYSIWYG editor
or the building blocks to create one (hence, the harpoon question).
