Yes, but Allaire is going up (up to 11 from a close of 7.94), and
MACR is going down, (down to 39.62 from a close of 44). Doesn't
this sound bad?

Lets say we own 100 shares of allaire, and lets value them at 11.
100 x $11 = 1100

Now exchange each one of those shares for .2 shares of MACR (thats the deal):
100 x .2 = 20 shares
20 x = $39.62 = 792.40
And then don't forget the $3 cash per share
792.40 + (20 x 3) = 852.40

If you had 100 shares, your investment drops from $1100 to $852.40 when
the takeover/buyout takes place.

These share prices are still going up and down in after hours trading though...
Who knows how its going to turn out...

Back to your regularly scheduled topic.
