Title: Message
yeah, this delay is driving me mad...

it's quite interesting, for messages coming to this email address (.co.uk) i sometimes get random messages from threads and sometimes i miss an entire thread. It's not all the time, but i'm noticing i have to keep going into topica and unsubscribing/resubscribing at least once a week because "i don't have permission to post". I have another email address hosted in seattle which i'm using to test the fusetalk syncronisation and that gets all the messages....so when i browse the web forums i see threads that i've completely missed....

very weird! this surely must be high on the steering comitee's 'things to do' list....

Wonderful Topica - just got this message 12 hours later, but I'd love to see what you've got and put some work into an opensource security project.

Me too, me too!  By any chance does it "refresh" the users permissions while they are using the web application rather then having them login all over again.

I would love to take a look at it. Count me in for the look and see.

I have built a Security module (circuit) I have the following features:
1. a tool to scan circuits and map each action to a security level
2. security levels that can be mapped to user groups
3. user groups that can be mapped to users.
4. the setup uses client vars for storing WDDX packets (structures of user
rights)
5. security is based on Hal's Bit logic module
6. a custom tag for including in the root fbx_settings file
7. security checks for each action.
8. (started) a method for adding users via <cfodule> (this can be used in
other parts of the application to pass the required user info and default
level for that section.

I would love to build this out and sell it (cheaply) but time is not
permitting this. so if there is enough interest I will open a sourceforge
account and make it open source (perhaps we can design it well enough for
inclusion in FB4 specs, well submit it at least)
