I would like to publicly thank all the folks who voted for me to serve on the FB Steering Committee (was it that committee), but due to government regs regarding outside activities for private orgs, I cannot participate as an official member of the committee without some serious paperwork getting filed.
So, with a slight measure of regret, I hereby announce my resignation from the FB Steering Committee! Besides, this morning, I'm part of this huge system switchover anyhow. But not to fret, the remaining members of the committee will decide amongst themselves how to handle this situation. So for now, thanks, folks! I'll be lurking around here and over on fbcommunity, and I've got total respect for everybody. See ya at the 2002 devcon, if not sooner, right?
