Not to get in the middle of a fight, but from his email address I don't believe John B. is even with Synthis. I know I am not, but I am pushing the product because I have been working with them on the beta and it is looking to be a very, very nice tool for FLiP.
No, you don't have to use it - you can stick to yellow and green wireframes. Adalon is just another option available.
