It might sound weird, but have you tried erasing
the entire line and retyping it? I had something
similar once and only thing I could come up with
was maybe they were "control characters" or
something.

OK, now this is *wierd*. I saved the source in notepad and open it up in
DWMX. I get a full screen of garbage characters. I open it up in HS+,
and I get normal HTML code except the characters  in two places, one
before the html starts and one within the text, both instances
corresponding to cfmodule calls. In Notepad the first instance shows up
as a line break only (no selectable chars) and the second shows up as a
default square box. So it must be some kind of document encoding thing
yeah? If I cfinclude the files instead of using cfmodule, nothing
unusual happens. It's happening on two different servers (different OS
even). I'm stumped. I'm suppressing layout on the cfmodule calls.
