BTW, in the early, early days of the internet (way back in 1995), the
domain example.com was set up by IANA for purposes like this. To this
day, www.example.com returns a page that says:
You have reached this web page by typing "example.com",
"example.net",
or "example.org" into your web browser. These domain names are
reserved for use in documentation and are not available for
registration.
