I must be confused, exactly how was that not routing through fusebox
properly?

I haven't yet received the example that you gave that is proper

It does somewhat, and in the example I gave shows routing it through he
fusebox properly, as opposed to calling it directly.

Thanks Shawn. I understood already that one would use Javascript. I was more
curious about the details of setting a form field value from another
independent window, the "calls back to the opener" as you put it. If you're
calling a fuseaction to open the popup window, then its not a child of the
window the form is in ... maybe this is more of a javascript question than a
fusebox question, I don't know. I guess I'll do something less elegant.

Just use javascript of course. Make a fuseaction for your popup and make
calls back to the opener.

Subject: Popup window to set data in a form field

Hello,

I'm wondering how to accomplish something in fusebox. I want to allow a user

to set a particular field either by picking from a list of existing items in

the db or by typing in something new. I thought I could have a form with a
text input field and next to the descriptor I could have a link to a popup
window that would generate a picklist that when selected would close the win

and populate the input field, but I'm not sure how to work it with fusebox.
Any ideas?

Regards,
eric
