SOT: I've got someone working on a small demo app in PHP Fusebox and I'm
wondering if anyone out there has a code snippet used for processing online
payments. (any processor will do, just an example).
Thanks!

I wrote a basic function to remove all the characters from this string that I didn't
want in it. When I execute it I receive a really odd error that I have never seen
before:
ERROR OCCURED WHILE PROCESSING REQUEST
Index: 99, Size: 51
Here is the code defining the function:
<cfscript>
function CleanString(CleanMe) {
CleanMe = lcase(CleanMe);
CleanMe = REReplaceNoCase(CleanMe, "[^0-9a-z_\/\%\&\*[:space:]]", "", "ALL");
CleanMe = trim(CleanMe);
return CleanMe;
}
</cfscript>
All I did is save it in a file all alone and it always gives this error or a variation
thereof. Am I doing something wrong?

I've also seen something like this with CF5 and REReplace/REReplaceNoCase
functions. Seems that CF5's regular expression engine has some bugs (probably
memory bugs). If you restart CF service, does this error go away?

On a somewhat related note, I get the same
> ERROR OCCURED WHILE PROCESSING REQUEST

type error (different numbers) whenever I change and recompile my root
fbx_Settings file in a couple of my apps (on CFMX). No idea why. Just
refresh the page and it's fine, but it happens EVERY time I change
something.
I haven't looked at the app since the CFMX update was released, so I don't
know if that rectified the situation.

This is running on a CFMX server on Win2K. I will try to restart the service again
later, but I tried earlier to no avail.

I do get the errors when it tries to create the new directories. By the
way wiping the cache and restarting the server didn't help. Going to
Macromedia looking for answers. I think I've patch it already but I may
just get it again and reapply it.

Despite another post, I have not found CF's RegEx engine to be buggy and I use it
extensively (I also run a CF-RegEx list so you can see how much I like them). I redid
your function as I was testing it:
function CleanString(CleanMe)
{
return REReplaceNoCase(trim(CleanMe), "[^0-9a-z_\/%&*[:space:]]", "", "ALL");
}
Both versions worked with no problems under CFMX and CF 5. I think you should look in
the other components that's associated with your page such as application.cfm and
apps_ and other files.
I wrote a basic function to remove all the characters from this string that I didn't

Thank you, that corrected the error, but there is still a quirk. That code throws an
error the first time I go to view it, and then if I refresh it works and continues to
work. But if I even add whitespace to the file and save it, an error is thrown again,
that goes away on refresh. Any thoughts?

Hm. You said in a different post that your on MX. It sounds like the compilation of

Different template with different code in the directory works fine. I am saving the

Thanks again.

Have you tried the code in a different template or directory? Something simple like
test.cfm
Different template with different code in the directory works fine. I am saving the
file as chr_escape.cfm
Thanks again.

worked. Very odd.

Are you possibly running on Solaris? There is a bug with REreplace on
Solaris in CF 5, I don't know if it carried over to MX.

Subject: Weird UDF Error
I wrote a basic function to remove all the characters from this string
that I didn't want in it. When I execute it I receive a really odd
error that I have never seen before:
ERROR OCCURED WHILE PROCESSING REQUEST
Index: 99, Size: 51
Here is the code defining the function:
<cfscript>
function CleanString(CleanMe) {
CleanMe = lcase(CleanMe);
CleanMe = REReplaceNoCase(CleanMe, "[^0-9a-z_\/\%\&\*[:space:]]",
"", "ALL");
CleanMe = trim(CleanMe);
return CleanMe;
}
</cfscript>
All I did is save it in a file all alone and it always gives this error
or a variation thereof. Am I doing something wrong?
Chris

Different template with different code in the directory works fine. I
am saving the file as chr_escape.cfm
Thanks again.
Chris
Hm. You said in a different post that your on MX. It sounds like the
compilation of the initial template into the class file is having a
problem. Do you see the same error with other templates? How about a
different template in the same directory with different code? What is
the name your saving this under (just in case)?
Thank you, that corrected the error, but there is still a quirk. That
code throws an error the first time I go to view it, and then if I
refresh it works and continues to work. But if I even add whitespace to
the file and save it, an error is thrown again, that goes away on
refresh. Any thoughts?
Chris
PS- My application.cfm contains two carriage returns and this code rests
in a non-FB test folder at the moment. Thanks for your help!
Despite another post, I have not found CF's RegEx engine to be buggy and
I use it extensively (I also run a CF-RegEx list so you can see how much
I like them). I redid >your function as I was testing it:

Both versions worked with no problems under CFMX and CF 5. I think you
should look in the other components that's associated with your page
such as application.cfm >and apps_ and other files.

Thank you, that corrected the error, but there is still a quirk. That code
throws an error the first time I go to view it, and then if I refresh it works
and continues to work. But if I even add whitespace to the file and save it, an
error is thrown again, that goes away on refresh. Any thoughts?<br>

Subject: Any fusebox project like PHP Nuke
Hi Everybody,
I would expect some project like PHP-Nuke to be running in the Fusebox
world. If not, does anybody know if any CF clone of PHP Nuke exists out
there?
