Moving this over to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
By naming the fields differently, you could also use #form.fieldnames# which contains
a list of all submitted fields in the form. As the form (or attributes) scopes are
structures you can get to the submitted values with form[ listValue ]

Audio sounds great to me. The conference is about fusebox, not Orlando. Orlando is a
bonus for the lucky guys who get to be there LIVE! Glad to help in any way I'm able.

I don't even care to see the mug shots, just the audio and slides. That
will make it a lot simpler. Let's see (Hmmmm... as one person is wont to
say) Radio Shack cassette recorder, $20, bunch of tapes $10. One of us can
in etherland can convert that to digital and make it downloadable or CD,
sell the CD for $2 plus S&H and you recover the cost. The content is the
issue, we won't get the commraderie or fun but if we can't be there in
person, let me be there as a sim, avatar, albeit on disc.

Bogus! No one has a digital video camera in the group. Did we ask for any
volunteers? We haven't even tried... Please don't whimp out without trying.
Some of us are very interested in the conference, but honestly cannot make
it. Perhaps the better question is the content going to be worth recording.
My thought is yes! We aren't looking for a television broadcast, but taping
the sessions and making the power point available. Let's get with it and get
it planned!

We have considered it very strongly, Christian. The sad truth is that we
just
don't have the money to do high-quality multimedia on top of the expenses of
doing the conference itself. It's not a matter of having bandwidth or
server
space to do it, but of getting the video in the first place. Working with
conference audio-visual services is a very expensive proposition, and we
don't
want to do a half-baked job.

Is there a way to specify the possible values of an <in> or <out> element in the

How do I document that the only values that <number name="myvariable" /> are 1,2 and 3?

There are a few different ways:
Using comments:
<number name="myvar" comments="Possible values: 1, 2 or 3"/>
<number name="myvar" comments="1|2|3"/>
Or using assert:
<assertions>
<assert that="myvar GTE 1 AND myvar LTE 3"/>
<assert that="myvar IN (1,2,3)"/>
<assert that="ListFind('1,2,3',myvar)"/>
</assertions>
Since there aren't automatic Fusedoc assertion parsers yet, just use
some syntax that you are familiar with and that's easy to understand.

Just do a <CFLOOP list="#attributes.formfield#" index="email"
delimiters="#chr(10)#,"> to get each email. Then validate with this RE,
after trimming whitespace.
^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]\.)+[a-zA-Z0-9_-]+@([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+\.)+[a-zA-Z0-9_-]{2,3}$
it's not perfect, but it catches most errors, and to my knowledge, allows
all valid emails to go through, excluding those with commas ;)

Hey,
I know I can write something but just before I do I thought I'd ask if
somebody can relate their interesting approach to this. I bet there's a
custom tag or a function or a regex lurking out there that does this :-)
I need to accept a form submission with a textarea field that will have
one or more email addresses, each on an individual line. I guess I should
probably allow for multiple on any given line separated by a comma as
well. I want to pick off these email addresses one by one and see if they
are well formed.
I understand the limits of validating email addresses. I was at a Toronto
JUG (Java User's Group) meeting recently where an individual showed us
examples of regular expressions to do this sort of thing...it gets pretty
hairy pretty fast. It was amusing to see Java programmers importing the
good old Perl regex parser to get this done. I hope that good old
compuserve users are no longer using a "," character inside their email
addresses :-)
Thanks in advance.

The 'comments' attribute is designed to handle any information that the
other attributes can't convey, which is exacly your situation. There is
also an 'assert' tag, but the comments attribute does the same job, at least
until someone writes an automatic tool to process assert tags into actual
validation.

Regarding printer friendly:
Why bother having another page - just create a printer-friendly
stylesheet with CSS. Check out:
http://www.alistapart.com/stories/goingtoprint/
Of course, being CSS, it won't mess with your layout at all.
(if this solution has been offered prior, my apologies - I only
skimmed).
Cheers,
