This is not an explanation but an elaboration. The Scientific Research and
Experimental Development tax credit specifically excludes expenditures for
"social science" research. Meanwhile the whole framework for the tax
credit relies on _bad_ social scientific assumptions about science,
technology and the economy. From a critical perspective, this is an income
tax credit that is only available to capital and not available to labour,
although the pretext is that it is simply for "scientific research".
