They can care all they wish, if the patented things are needed they are taken by the government. Any compensation is worked out later.

This simply is not true.  Corporations are loyal
to their patent obligations even in the face of
opportunities to prevent crimes against humanity.

Read _The Crime and Punishment of I.G. Farben_, to
learn how companies like Standard Oil, during World War II,
resisted the temptation to violate their patent
agreements with their Nazi German counterparts, when to do so
would have helped the "allied" war effort.
