I trust everybody got the irony of Bush's justification for
his ABM defense:
Bush said his goal was to 'protect our citizens
against what is perhaps the greatest danger of all

or terrorist groups armed with weapons of mass
destruction and the means to deliver them'....
I didn't write down his further assertion that 911 had
increased the cogency of these considerations!
I await the day that AlQaeda bin Laden nukes New York City --
with one of America's own ICBMs -- and, while we're at it,
why not a whole bunch of freedom loving cities, nuked
from missiles launched from a U.S. nuclear submarine
they will have hijacked.
