It's an interesting essay. The paragraph that particularly caught my attention was the following: "War provides the necessary medium in which this witches brew of oil, eugenics, pharmaceuticals, munitions and Wall Street investing can reach maximum growth. Likewise, war is also the essential frame of reference for the newly formed GW Bush administration." Well, perhaps... The continued pressure by Bush for war on Iraq despite no evidence (yet) of WMD gives Mr. Lederman's piece some credence. Yet in looking at web material on Mr. Lederman, one has to conclude that he has axes to grind. He also appears to be very prolific as an activist, artist and writer. When does he have time to do the kind of research that his assertions would seem to warrant? And if he did have time to do the research, could he actually make the kinds of conspiratorial connections that his assertions suggest?
