I have read that Lyndon Johnson used to get the Kennedy aides he inherited to do what he wanted by grossing them out so that they would agree to just about anything to be able to get away from the source of their discomfort.
A woman reporter was following Johnson, and once while she was interviewing him, he went into the bathroom and sat down on the toilet without shutting the door, as he continued talking with her.
(At least the reporter didn't have to look at George W Bush under any conditions....)
