Although I am sure that many of you could draw the attached population pyramids of, Asia, Latin America, and Europe http://tinyurl.com/omng from your imagination, what is interesting is that Latin America will have a young and vibrant work force for decades to come while Asia falls somewhere in the Middle but dwarfs the rest of the world in population growth.
 
In the long run, 50 years, we will have a world wide problem of old folks. We also will be consuming higher levels of resources. Thus, I tend to view the dramatic lowering of birth rates as a plus rather than a negative factor. To see dramatic drops in birth rates, check out Turkey and South Korea.
