Folks- I have just done a little re-config of my fvwm2 setup. I am going to try out the TaskBar module. But, in only using it for a couple of hours I can already feel my life wasting away while waiting for it to un-hide itself. I tried not hiding, but I do like the hiding. I went into the code and hacked the "inc_y" value in RevealTaskBar() to make the thing come up faster. I also played with "inc_y" in HideTaskBar() -- but, I ended up going back to the default (how fast the thing goes away is less of an issue for me).
Might I suggest that the AutoHide config take a couple more parameters,
so something like:
AutoHide pixels reveal_speed hide_speed
Or, just one speed knob for both operations would work, too.
While I didn't go to the trouble of figuring out the code enough to
determine how to make this happen, I imagine that for you gurus who know
the code that has to be a pretty straightforward change.
Just a suggestion ... maybe worth what you paid for it! :-)
