Would I see any significant differences between an fvwm2 installation on an ubuntu system when compared with an installation on an xubuntu system?
My gut feeling is that it's probably better/safer to install fvwm2 on ubuntu as xfce is fairly specifically expecting the xfwm window manager I suspect whereas the base Gnome installation in ubuntu does allow for different window managers. ... this is all on [x]ubuntu 9.04 by the way. -- Chris Green
