I don't know if this is of any help*, but I'm using openSuSE 11.4 on x86_64 and LibreOffice works fine for me under the fvwm which comes with the distro: fvwm2-2.5.26-52.2.x86_64 libreoffice-3.3.1.2-1.2.2.x86_64 * I realize I'm using the 64-bit version and you're not, but thought I'd mention it's working for me with 64-bit.
