Since a while (possibly related to the Ubuntu upgrade ? or fvwm2 to fvwm3
?) I noticed an unexpected (and for me annoying) behaviour. When from a
terminal I call an application (e.g. an editor) which opens a new window,
I'd expect the focus to be transferred to the new window.
Instead this sometimes did not happen any more. I regarded as a minor
nuisance and just moved the mouse to the new window when it happened.
Today finally I decided to spend some time on it, and noticed that if the
window is created on a crowded desktop in a way to overlap the current
focused terminal (or mouse position), the focus is transferred to the new
window. If instead the window is "tiled" on the side of existing windows,
focus is not transferred.
I replaced Style * SloppyFocus with Style * FPGrabFocus ...
... and apparently I repristinated my wished behaviour.
Is there any counter-indication towards FPGrabFocus ?
Thanks
